Holiday Cards for Heroes
Creekside joined up with the American Red Cross and Athens State University to send Holiday cards to our Heroes. Students across Creekside made cards to send to our soldiers who are stationed across the globe. We hope the Christmas cards bring joy to those who are serving and are not able to be home for Christmas.

Creekside PTO would like to invite students and families for Supper with Santa on December 14th, from 5:30 - 6:30 or 6:45 - 7:45, in the cafeteria.
Admission will include dinner (pizza, salad, cookie, and drink), craft, and a letter to Santa. Everything will be set up and brought to each family at their table. Santa will be available for pictures during and after dinner.
The cost is $8 per person, school age and above. All children preschool age and below are free, but will still need a ticket, so please select the Preschool ticket.

It's a great time of year to be a student in Mrs. Craft's Art class. I love seeing all of the Christmas Art hanging around our school and sometimes even joining in on her class!

Our SpEd department and our K teachers recently celebrated Epilepsy Awareness month in honor of our sweet K student in Mrs. Durham's class, Charlotte. It was a great day! Great job CPS!
Mrs. Trockenbrot and several teachers conducted Dyslexia Awareness Night @ Creekside a couple of weeks ago and it was a huge success! We had a library full of students, parents and activities! Great job Mrs. T and staff!

Please communicate with us at Creekside anytime you have questions or concerns. Your child's teacher is always available to discuss any question you may have.
Please email, call or come by to see me at any time. The front door at Creekside is open @ 7:00 AM and usually does not close until 4:00. You are welcome to come by any time during the day to see us.

I have started using Instagram to post pictures and information for CPS and from me (Principal Matt Scott - not a personal account). Twitter has been my main social media output for a while but I have noticed that not a lot of our parents are on Twitter. At the principals conference I attended a couple of weeks ago, "using social media" was a big topic in a session I attended. Several of schools are now using Instagram as their main social media forum to get information out and share school happenings with their parents.
