Creekside Construction Update

The LCS BoE approved our building project this morning @ a special called board meeting!
First Team Construction Company from Auburn won the low bid on base bid and alternates.
We will get:
  • Base bid - 22 classrooms, music room, front office and gym
  • Rear parking lot behind the new gym
  • Cafeteria expansion
  • Front parking expansion

This is GREAT NEWS!!!
A HUGE thank you goes to our Superintendent, Dr. Tom Sisk, and our LCS Board Members!
The process to start actual construction will be about 1-2 months from now.  There are contract procedures LCS will file with the construction company and the State Department.

At some point we will close the South parking lot which will change how we do things with drop-off and pick-up.

Hopefully we can complete the front parking expansion first and then close the South lot.

Please be patient during our time of construction.

Things to consider which will help everyone:
  • Expect delays and be patient
    • Please be patient during this time.  Getting angry with school staff and other drivers will not solve any problem - it will only create more problems.
  • Leave your house earlier
    • Leave earlier than normal.  We are expecting traffic to back up on Sanderson.  Please give yourself extra time to arrive and drop off.
  • Carpool
    • Find someone to share rides with.  Reducing the number of cars coming on campus each day will help.
  • The School bus as an alternative
    • If you would like for your child to ride the bus please contact CES to find out your bus number and the bus schedule if you don't already know.
We will send out phone calls very soon to outline changes in drop-off and pick-up.
